Celebrate the beauty of spring and treat your mom to a visit to the Zoo on her special day! Visit the Zoo’s newest babies and their Zoo moms while enjoying the great family atmosphere!

All moms are admitted free when accompanied by a paying child. (If child is 2 and under, another paid admission will get mom free admission.)

Stop by the Pavilion from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and enjoy a wonderful all-you-can-eat Chris Cakes pancake & sausage brunch for just $5 a plate.

Father’s Day Car Show at the Sedgwick County Zoo

Dads, grab your crew, put the pedal to the metal and cruise on out to the Sedgwick County Zoo for Father’s Day. See cool classic cars, antique autos and vintage hot rods while exploring your favorite animal exhibits at the Zoo.

Dads are admitted free when accompanied by a paying child. (If child is 2 and under, another paid admission will get dad free admission.) Zoo members FREE with membership card and photo ID.

Third Annual Paddle Battle *Saturday, April 22nd 2017

Paddle Battle returns for a third year on Saturday, April 22nd, on Sand Creek in Newton, Ks!

The canoe and kayak race draws dozens of paddlers to Newton for one- and two-mile routes and, new this year, paddleboat sprints.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, and races start at 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded, and T-shirts will be provided to those who pre-register, while they last. Registration is $25, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Heart 2 Heart Child Advocacy Center.

CaNewton is the event’s presenting sponsor and has a limited number of boats available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants can also bring their own boats.

11th Annual St. Patricks Parade in Historic Delano, Wichita Ks * Saturday, March 11th 2017

The Parade starts at Douglas and McLean and proceeds west on Douglas Avenue to Walnut Street.
