The Harvey County United Way Chili Cook-off and the Red Hot Chili Pepper 5K (and The Little Pepper Fun Run) will be held in Newton, Kansas on Saturday, September 28th, 2019.

The Little Pepper Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m. on September 28th and is approximately 1K. The cost for the Little Pepper run is $19 through August 31st and $21 September 1st through race day.

The Red Hot Chili Pepper 5K starts at 9 a.m. The course begins and ends near the chili cook-off site and runs along Sand Creek. All finishers get medals. All 5K finishers also get one ticket to the chili cook-off. Those registered by September 9th will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Cost for the 5K is $36 through August 31st and $41 from September 1st through race day.

The 13th annual Harvey County United Way Chili Cook-off is Saturday, September 28th, 2019. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sixth Street between Main and Poplar in downtown Newton.
Attendees can enjoy unlimited samples of a variety of chili from 30 booths and can bring spare change to “vote” for their favorite to win the People’s Choice Award!

All proceeds benefit the Harvey County United Way. Entertainment will include music from local bands and the Newton High School Drum Line. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the gate.
